Genève-Servette announces the arrival of Jason Akeson (34 years old) for the next 2 seasons. The Canadian striker should start the 2025/2026 financial year as a Swiss!

Akeson is currently shining in the ICEHL, the Austrian championship. With his Italian club Pustertal, he totaled 106 points in 99 matches. He previously played 5 years in the DEL (German championship) where he was the league’s TopScorer twice. He arrived in Europe after spending 6 seasons in North America (22 NHL matches and 406 AHL matches – 115 goals, 218 assists).

If the player arrives this summer as a Canadian, he will start the season as a Swiss! Indeed, Akeson is married to a Swiss woman and if everything goes as planned, he should receive his white cross passport during the month of September 2025.

Simas Ignatavicius (17 years old) will join the first team next season. Standing at 1m89 and weighing 85kg, the Swiss-licensed Latvian striker performed well in the CHL semi-final against Zurich. Engaged with the U20 elite this season, he has 16 goals and 24 assists in 35 matches.
