Laurent Brun: “I don’t see the Commercial Court knocking out the Girondins, who are still making great efforts at all levels”

For Le Mag, the journalist Laurent Brun spoke about this Tuesday's meeting at the Commercial Court for the Girondins de Bordeaux.

“Yes, it's an important meeting, whatever it may be, if only to take stock of the situation, formalize certain things, perhaps put further reminders on others but I don't know about that. But I don't see the Commercial Court taking down the Girondins there, with everything that has been put in place since August. Also the contribution of money from Gérard Lopez recently, the contracts which are going to be signed, the departure of Safouane Karim… All this is being scrutinized, it's normal, but I don't see the point in destroying the club, which is still making great efforts at all levels, and who is also in the process of coming back sportingly. I think we have to take all that into account. For me, the very important exam is that of June at the DNCG, and the end of the championship, to see what it gives. By then, there will perhaps be buyers for the club, for the stadium, for the club and the stadium… There, it will be an update, but I don't see the point in stopping the club now . You can imagine the mess it would be at all levels, even at championship level… Beyond the Girondins, it would still create a lot of problems…”.
