Carlo Ancelotti does not intend to give up his place within Real Madrid, at least for the moment. The Merengues coach addressed the rumors linking him to a departure this summer.

The Spanish press reported this week that Carlo Ancelotti wanted to leave Real Madrid in order to take charge of the Brazilian selection, thus putting forward the name of Xabi Alonso as a potential successor.

Asked about the rumors regarding his departure this summer, the Italian wanted to set things straight, brushing aside any speculation about his future within Real Madrid.

“No… no… (laughs). I want to be very clear: I will never decide when I leave this club, never in my life. One day that moment will come, but I don’t know when. It’s not up to me to decide. It could be tomorrow (he laughs), in a few matches, in a year, in five years… Florentino will still be there for four years and my goal is to reach Florentino’s four years (laughs). So we can say goodbye together,” he declared at a press conference.

Although the former Chelsea manager has been under intense pressure this season after a questionable start to the campaign as well as disappointing performances, he would still appear determined to lift trophies with his players.
