The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced that the draw for the 2025 African Cup of Nations (CAN) will take place on Monday January 27, 2025 in Rabat, Morocco. The ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. and will bring together delegations from the 24 nations qualified for this prestigious edition.
This event will mark a unique opportunity for teams to experience Morocco’s world-class sporting infrastructure, including modern stadiums, state-of-the-art training centers and excellent hotel complexes. These facilities will play a vital role in the success of the competition.
The 24 qualified teams will be divided into six groups of four, and at the end of the group stage, the best two teams in each group, as well as the four best third-placed teams, will qualify for the round of 16. CAN 2025 will kick off on December 21, 2025, and the grand final will be held on January 18, 2026.
The teams qualified for this edition are: South Africa, Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Comoros, Ivory Coast, Egypt, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Nigeria, Uganda, Republic Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Zambia and Zimbabwe. With high-level teams and quality infrastructure, CAN 2025 promises to be a memorable tournament.
