“TF1, 50 years together”: Gilles Bouleau and Isabelle Ithurburu immerse us in the memories of the French

On January 6, 1975, TF1 appeared on the French audiovisual landscape.

To celebrate this half-century of existence, Gilles Bouleau and Isabelle Ithurburu are offering an exceptional documentary this Tuesday.

It’s a historic anniversary. To properly celebrate TF1's quarter century, Gilles Bouleau and Isabelle Ithurburu are offering a special evening this Tuesday entitled “TF1, 50 years together”. The two journalists will turn the pages of the French family album.

For nearly 2h30, they will tell us not the history of the channel created on January 6, 1975, but the history of and the French over the last five decades, through news images from the time, but also flagship programs from TF1. On the menu: cult archives, rare images, nostalgia, emotion, laughter and a few surprises.

The first steps of on-air stars

From the sinking of the Amoco-Cadiz in February 1978 to the fire at Notre-Dame in April 2019, including the victory of Yannick Noah in 1983 at Roland Garros, those of the Blues in the World Cup and even the death of Lady Di, the documentary will look back on the main events that have marked the last 50 years.

You will also rediscover the first steps of today's screen stars (Nikos Aliagas, Denis Brogniart, Dorothée or even the very young Arthur) while diving back with nostalgia into the shows which have marked all generations, such as “L 'Children's Island', 'Le Club Dorothée', 'Sacred Evening', 'The Voice' or 'Dancing with the Stars'.
