Mickaël Facchinetti is back at La Maladière • Neuchâtel Xamax

Former junior of FC Hauterive and FC Saint-Blaise, Mickaël Facchinetti first joined Maladière in July 2008 from Team Vaud. After three years in Neuchâtel, Gilbert’s grandson joined FC Lugano in Ticino before trying his luck in Serie A with Chievo Verona. Returning to Switzerland in 2012, he made transfers to Lausanne-Sport and FC Saint-Gall before settling down in Neuchâtel in February 2016. After a short six-month stint, the left-hander spent two and a half seasons in the Oberland Bernese at FC Thun before a departure to Cyprus (Apoel Nicosia). In 2019, he returned to the Super League with FC Sion before returning to Ticino, first to Lugano, then to Paradiso in this first part of the season.

With more than 280 Super League matches, Mickaël Facchinetti, capable of playing in the central hinge and on the left lane, will be able to bring all his experience to the Neuchâtel rear guard. He will wear the number 77.

The club is delighted with his arrival and welcomes him under his new colors.
