Premier League: André Onana’s poor rating against Brighton

André Onana helped Manchester United win in the 21e day of the Premier League (3-1). It was last Thursday at Old Trafford against Southampton. Indeed, with 5 decisive saves, the Cameroonian international kept the Red Devils afloat and Diallo Amad did the rest. But this Sunday against Brighton, the Lion missed out on his match. Unfortunately, he failed to repeat the feat of a few days ago against the Saints. Because he committed a sulk detrimental to the Mancunians.

On the first goal, the defense did not help him. The young Cameroonian midfielder, Carlos Baleba, had the right look. Because he put the ball behind the defense. Noussair Mazraoui was unable to catch Kaoru Mitoma well launched. The Japanese international will then serve Yankuba Minteh on a golden plate for the opener (0-1) in the 5th minute of play. On this occasion, André Onana could do nothing about it. Bruno Fernandes will get his team back on track in the 23rd minute from the penalty spot; a foul committed by Carlos Baleba. Kaoru Mitoma will give Brighton the advantage again after 60 minutes (1-2). André Onana stayed on his line. Noussair Mazraoui did not follow the Japanese international accurately.

Georginio Rutter, who entered class, will seal the fate of Manchester United. He will take advantage of a big pout from André Onana to sign the 3e goal of the Seagulls (1-3). The Indomitable Lions goalkeeper was in trouble at Old Trafford. He didn’t help his people today. In 90′ of play, André Onana touched 30 balls for 54% accurate passes. With an error resulting in a goal, the Lion gets away with an average of 5.5; is the smallest of the Mancunians. Despite this day without, André Onana benefits from the confidence of coach Ruben Amorim. He will have to pull himself together before the 7e day of the Europa League next Thursday. He is the best Cameroonian goalkeeper in activity so far.
