Winward Racing took the lead during the three qualifying sessions to take pole position for the 6 Hours of Abu Dhabi, counting towards the 2025 24H Series.

Rinat Salikhov (Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO n°87 – Winward Racing) dominated Q1 in 1’52″605, ahead of Alex Aka (Audi R8 LMS GT3 n°99 – Tresor Attempto Racing) by more than two tenths.

Sergey Borisov keeps the #87 Mercedes ahead of the average by setting the Q3 benchmark in 1’52″599 ahead of Gabriele Piana (Mercedes #16 – Winward Racing) and Jef Machiels (Audi #99).

Ultimately it was Piana, also entered in the No. 87 Mercedes, who definitively offered pole to the Winward Racing car by finishing 3rd in a Q3 dominated by Louis Prette (McLaren 720S GT3 EVO No. 58 – Garage 59).

The No. 87, entered in Pro-Am, concluded the qualifying session in an average of 1’52″648, ahead of the Mercedes No. 7 – SMP Racing of Sergey Sirotkin, Vitaly Petrov, Alexander by more than half a second. Smolyar and Denis Remenyako.

The second row will be shared between the #33 McLaren – Optimum Motorsport of Thomas Ikin, Michael Porter and Andrew Gilbert, and the #8 Ferrari 296 GT3 – Into Africa Racing by Dragon Racing of Axcil Jefferies, Blake McDonald, Stuart White and Xollie Letlaka.

Pole position in GTX for the Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2 n°750 – Scott Sport, where we notably find Mikkel Mac. RedCamels-Jordans.nl set the best time in 992 with the No. 909 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup of Luc, Ivo and Rik Breukers, associated with Fabian Danz.

Continental TTR Racing places its No. 496 Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO at the forefront in GT4, with Chazel Technologie Course dominating the TCE class with its Alpine A110 Cup where Frédéric de Brabant is competing.

The 6 Hours of Abu Dhabi will begin tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. French time and will be followed live on video on Endurance-Info.
