The more the weeks pass, the less credible the possibility seems, because the Ninja has been without a club since last summer and the end of his adventure at Bhayangkara FC, in Indonesia. If he wants to bounce back, Nainggolan will have to do it very quickly.
The ex-Red Devil has not completely remained inactive. We saw him play with various amateur teams in Belgium, where he returned to settle, and even joined a futsal team in Mechelen. But Nainggolan would still like to find a challenge, he who regretted several months ago that Belgian clubs assumed a little too much about his financial demands.
However, an opportunity presented itself to Radja Nainggolan… which he probably didn’t see coming. According to the Gazzetta dello SportAS Rome, where the Belgian played from 2014 to 2018, would have made him a very special offer. Not for a return to the field, nor even to the staff.
Indeed, Roma would have offered a position in the club’s… futsal team. We do not know if the current Hassania Mechelen player is seriously considering this offer, but it would be a surprising reconversion, as well as a real sporting challenge.
The Journal specifies that Nainggolan would have received some offers from abroad to continue his career on a “real” field, and at a professional level. But the possibility of returning to Rome would seem to really attract him.
