But the match shifted to another dimension when a handball in the area gave the visitors the opportunity to get back on track. Marc Kim Jio did not let the windfall slip away (2-2, 82e).
“We said to ourselves that we had to accept our status as favorite and give everything to bring home victory,” underlined captain Mayverick Compper. And if we had to wait until the end to see William Boucif score the winning goal (2-3, 90e+ 8), the result was all the stronger for the Marmandais and the defeat more cruel for the Agenais. “To lose in these final moments, when we had a solid match with flu-stricken and courageous boys, it really hurts,” conceded Damien Carmaux, the assistant coach. Even if the road leading to accession to R1 is still long, the Marmandais have taken this recovery from the right end.

D1. The Assa (1is) took sole control after dominating Villeneuve/Lot (7e), 3 to 1. The FC Marmande reserve (6e), winning 1-0 against his Agen counterpart (5e), is placed back in the soft underbelly of the ranking.
