For the resumption of the championship in D1, Louvigné-de-Bais (5th) welcomed his neighbor Domagne Saint-Didier (4th) for one derby who kept all his promises.

In an icy atmosphere, the two teams engaged in a fierce battle, but were unable to decide between themselves, concluding the match with a score of parity (2-2).

Polar cold for a scorching derby

The weather conditions were far from ideal, with negative temperatures which put players and supporters to the test.

On the frozen ground, organisms were pushed to their limits, but the intensity of the derby seemed to warm the atmosphere.

Despite the bitter cold, the 22 actors never lowered their intensity, offering a show that lived up to expectations.

Domagne hits hard from the start

From the first minutes, Quentin Guilleux sets the tone for Louvigné with an attempt that comes close to hitting the target.

But Domagne was quick to retaliate. Driven by high pressing and a desire to upset their hosts, the visitors struck first.

On a deep opening, Johan Arondel play defense to score the first goal in the 7th minute, confirming the intensity of this derby.

Louvigné, far from letting himself be defeated, offered himself a great opportunity from a corner a quarter of an hour into the game. But that was without counting on an imperial Roussel in the cages of Domagné, author of a spectacular save to preserve the advantage.

However, the wall gave way five minutes later. After another stop by Roussel, Richard Banctel recovers a poorly cleared ball and pushes the ball into the back of the net, bringing his team level (1-1).

Domagné misses the mark, Louvigné punishes before the break

Half an hour into the game saw a moment of hesitation in Louvigné’s defense. A risky restart benefits Benjamin Vallet, but the Domagné attacker lacks precision, his shot grazing the post despite an empty goal in front of him.

A huge failure that weighs heavily.

In stoppage time, the turning point of the match occurs. Franck Mouchou commits a rough foul on Richard Banctel and receives a carton rouge direct. Reduced to ten, the visitors suffered a dangerous free kick taken by Banctel himself.

His powerful shot, deflected by Domagné’s wall, ended up in the net. With this double, Banctel allows Louvigné to return to the locker room in the lead (2-1).

Despite the numerical inferiority, Domagne returns from the locker room with clear intentions.

A foul in the area on Antoine Ruée offers the opportunity to pick up the score. Benjamin Valletlike a boss, transforms the penalty with a flat foot in the middle (2-2).

The tension then rises a notch, each team returns blow for blow. The freezing conditions do not lessen commitment, and mistakes multiply, testifying to the stakes and the harshness of the debates.

From to two

Despite more than 45 minutes playing eleven against ten, Louvigné failed to exploit his numerical advantage.

Domagné’s heroic defense and Roussel’s efficiency in goal allowed them to come away with a precious point.

For their part, Tango may harbor some regrets, having lacked the edge to force the decision.

This derby will have offered spectacle, commitment, and a nice dose of suspense. The two teams, back to back, remain neck and neck in the standings, and this result suggests a thrilling second part of the season.
