Asvel returned to the French championship this Sunday, barely two days after its Euroleague victory in Istanbul. The Villeurbannais were beaten 92-71 by Dijon.
Asvel failed to continue. Less than 48 hours after his Euroleague exploit on the floor of Anadolou Efes Istanbul, the Villeurbannais lost 92-71 in Dijon. Still deprived of Lauvergne, Kahudi or even Ndiaye, the Rhodaniens quickly suffered from the law of the Dijonnais, ahead at the break 45-36.
Despite a slight start upon returning from the locker room, the Burgundians were more precise and much more energetic to finally logically win.
Asvel will have to get its head straight because it will host Partizan Belgrade in the Euroleague on Tuesday evening before hosting Alba Berlin on Thursday and Gravelines-Dunkerque on Sunday evening in the championship.
