An almost full house for women’s hockey in Quebec

About ten days before the professional women’s hockey match at the Videotron Center, almost all the tickets have been sold.

The Ottawa Charge and the Montreal Victory should be treated to quite an atmosphere on Sunday, January 19. A little over a week before the first match of the Professional Women’s Hockey League (LPHF) in Quebec, there are fewer than 300 tickets available on the Ticketmaster platform.

The remaining seats are on level 300 of the Videotron Center, which has 18,259 seats in the hockey format.

Contacted for comment, the League said it did not wish to provide its ticket sales figures for the matches.

In hockey, the Videotron Center achieved record sales on tickets for two Remparts series games in 2023, including the final.

Announced last October, the match aroused great interest in the first days of ticket sales.

Very quickly, the tickets in level 100 had almost all found buyers on the Videotron Center sales platform.

Remember that this match is one of nine presented in what the LPHF called the Grand Tour.

Since the beginning of January, the six teams in the League have played matches on neutral ground throughout the United States and Canada.

The tour has already stopped in Seattle and Vancouver and, between now and the end of March, it will also pass through Denver, Edmonton, Buffalo, Raleigh, Detroit, and of course Quebec.

The meeting planned in the Old Capital could also be important for the ranking as Montreal sits at the top with 17 points and Ottawa is third at 13 points after 8 matches.
