Former NFL star Robert Quinn was arrested by police in North Charleston, South Carolina, early Friday after attempting to flee the scene of a traffic accident he had just caused.
According to several media reports, including Fox News, the 34-year-old man caused the accident involving four vehicles around two a.m. while he was driving his van. When police arrived at the scene, Quinn was in another car, driven by a woman he met that evening at a strippers’ club, and was attempting to leave the scene.
Quinn had obvious facial injuries, spoke with difficulty and refused to cooperate with the police, who had to remove him by force from the car.
He is charged with dangerous driving and leaving the scene of an accident that caused property damage.
-Active in the NFL from 2011 to 2022, Quinn notably participated in the Pro Bowl three times.
A defensive lineman, he played for the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams, Miami Dolphins, Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles.
