Brad Marchand didn’t intend to laugh when he met the media on Friday.

Asked to react to a rumor started by a radio host concerning a possible conflict between him and David Pastrnak, the captain of the Boston Bruins did not shy away and vehemently denied the whole thing.
“I heard what was said this morning. It’s a shame, Marchand told the media. I know journalists have a job to do and that job is to report information about the team and they try to base it on facts. But when it comes to blatant lies, that’s where there’s a problem.”
On Friday morning, host Rich Keefe of Boston’s WEEI 93.7 FM suggested that Pastrnak didn’t want to play on the same line as Brad Marchand and that number 88 was at the center of a conflict within the locker room .
However, Marchand contradicted this information, specifying that he and Pastrnak have been friends for a long time and that his teammate is one of the most loved players in the locker room.
-“‘Pasta’ and I are best friends. We have been very close for a very long time. The only reason we don’t play together is because we want to spread our depth across two units. It’s not true that there is a problem in the room. “He’s one of the most popular guys in the locker room,” he said.
The little Bruins pest then attacked the credibility of the host who started the rumor while recognizing that the team was not having a good season.
“For this guy to have a platform and make up stories, it’s embarrassing. Nothing he said is true. This is how you lose your job quickly. The fact that he will have a job after all this is ridiculous.
“We are not having the success we would like to have this season, I will make no bones about it. But I’m not going to let just anyone say anything in the media. From now on, this guy has no credibility.”
