NFL: Tyreek Hill played despite broken wrist and his agent defends him

Tyreek Hill is linked to the Miami Dolphins, his agent said, despite controversial comments made by the star wideout last week.

Agent Drew Rosenhaus said Hill is a “very passionate” player in the Pat McAfee Show broadcast on ESPN on Thursday, and he attributed frustration to Hill’s remarks that suggested he wanted to leave the Dolphins after their final game of the season last week. Hill would then miss the NFL playoffs for the first time in his career.

“Tyreek is authentic,” Rosenhaus said. He wants to win. It’s not enough to make the playoffs. He is very passionate. Ultimately, he’s still tied to the Dolphins. »

Rosenhaus also said Hill played through a broken wrist this season, after suffering the injury during a preseason game against the Washington Commanders.

Doctors recommended he undergo surgery that would have ended his campaign, but Hill refused, according to Rosenhaus.

“The doctors all said, ‘It will be painful. It could affect the rest of your career. If you choose not to have surgery now, then this injury may become permanent,” Rosenhaus said. Tyreek replied: ”Hey, fuck off. I’m a team player, and I’m going to play.'”

Hill had one of his worst offensive seasons in nine years. His 959 yards are his worst total since his 860 yards in 12 games with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2019. His 81 catches are also his worst total since his 58 that season.
