Between two clubs far from European places in the championship, the meeting takes on an even more important stake.
This is particularly true for Brest, which dreams of offering itself a first epic in the Coupe de France, of which it has never progressed beyond the quarter-finals, or even a first major title, its track record being limited for the moment to a Ligue 2 won in 1981. Reassured by their logical and controlled success against Olympique Lyonnais (2-1), last weekend in Ligue 1, Éric Roy’s players are in any case serving favorites of the meeting.
