A few weeks before the Audi FIS World Cup Crans-Montana 2025, preparations for the event are in full swing. “Thanks to careful preparation, the track presents a solid and homogeneous snow cover,” indicates the organizing committee. Now, the teams are focusing on refining the surface and installing the safety systems, including the installation of the A nets. Everything is being done to provide an optimal experience during the World Cup. February 22-23, 2025, as well as the European Cup from February 12-13, 2025.
The organizers announce that the 2025 edition of the Audi FIS Ski World Cup already promises to be exceptional. The return of the men’s circuit to Crans-Montana, the prospect of the Worlds, but also several improvements and new features will help to make it an unmissable event:
“There is no plan B”
The Crans-Montana 2027 vision was created in 2006 and has come to fruition over the years. Today, all the concepts for the FIS Alpine Ski World Championships are in place, and implementation is taking place gradually from the 2025 races. Each edition allows the organizing committee to adapt and improve its concepts, with the aim of ramping up around 2027 to make it an unforgettable event. The Worlds are therefore the culmination of long-term work, which is based on a sustainable and progressive vision.
The FIS Alpine Ski World Championships, which will be held from February 1 to 14, 2027 in Crans-Montana, will mark a decisive turning point in the development of the resort.
Concerning the oppositions of local residents, owners of second homes near the arrival stadium: “They saw their request for suspensive effect rejected by the Cantonal Court, but still have the possibility of bringing their appeal before the Federal Court, indicates Nicolas Féraud, president of Crans-Montana and vice-president of the organizing committee. If they were to proceed with the proceedings, then we hope that the federal judges rule quickly.” The timing for starting work is indeed tight, but in Crans-Montana, we continue to believe in a favorable outcome of the negotiations.
