The Winnipeg Jets won their second duel in eight days against the Nashville Predators (5-2). Nino Niederreiter and Roman Josi scored again after a long drought.
The two Swiss struck during the third period in Manitoba. Josi, decisive passer on the first reduction in the score of the Preds (37th Forsberg 3-1), brought his team back two lengths in the 50th minute while Winnipeg had regained a three-goal lead a little earlier. But “El Nino” confirmed the success of the Canadian franchise with a goal in the empty cage (58th).

Still leader of the Central division, Winnipeg is recovering after losing its first three matches of 2025. As for the Predators, who play in the same division, they are 25 points behind the Jets. A place in the playoffs appears more and more illusory.
