What can you tell us about the many injured?
The current situation remains complex, it is not yet very clear for some of them. We had the pleasure of seeing the evolution of Dika (Mem, operated on the right shoulder on November 19) who was able to gradually return to the team. We still have difficulties with Hugo’s situation (Note, herniated disc) who is a little more problematic and who remains on the fringes of the group with his back problems. As for Elohim (Prandi, dislocated left shoulder, November 6)he continued his work on re-athletics and specific strengthening. He is not yet in contact with the team and collective training. It shows the road still to be covered for some. But that doesn’t stop us from working because we have a large enough group (20) to prepare for this World Cup in this configuration. I have no guarantee of the return of all of these forces. But that’s the choice we made by calling up players not yet fit to train. Because we remain optimistic about their return and their potential participation in the World Cup. But we also remain aware that, for some, it will be difficult (Yanis Lenne, lower back pain, and Kentin Mahé, elbow, have not yet joined the group), or even not possible in the end when it comes to defining final outlines of the team.
