The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced this Tuesday, January 7, that the bonus for the future winner of CHAN 2024, organized jointly by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, has been significantly increased.
This allocation has been increased by 75%, indicates the supreme body of African football, stressing that the lucky winner of this edition will pocket 3.5 million US dollars (approximately 36 million dirhams). A nice jackpot that should make more than one selection salivate.
Likewise, CAF announced a revaluation of the CHAN allocation of around 32%, to reach 10.4 million dollars.

“CHAN is an important competition for the development and growth of African-based football players and will contribute significantly to the global competitiveness of African football and CAF competitions,” indicates Patrice Motsepe, president of the continental body. “This competition is part of our investment strategy in African football”, in order to make it more attractive to everyone, continues the boss of African football.
The tournament is scheduled from February 1 to February 28, 2025. The draw for the competition will take place in Nairobi, Kenya on January 15 from 6 p.m. (Moroccan time). However, the delays in delivery of some infrastructures and even the number, even the participating selections, still raise questions.
