Lazare has his exit voucher
Another player will not be selected in the event of an offer deemed interesting by all parties: Lazare Amani. The Ivorian midfielder, who arrived at the Union in the summer of 2021, could already have left during the last transfer window, but the offers that arrived did not suit the Union. If Pocognoli had revived it for a moment, he did not use it for a single minute in the league in December. Suffice to say that a departure would suit everyone.
Median radius lacking playing time, Mathias Rasmussen is also asking questions, with four consecutive matches without taking off the bench at the end of 2024. A situation which could arouse interest for a loan, even if it is difficult to imagine the Union let two central midfielders slip away at the same transfer window.

Once again in the eye of the storm at the end of the year, Loïc Lapoussin was reinstated in the A core when it resumed this week. If a departure in January would be an ideal solution for everyone, his new escapades in December will not increase his stock on the market, despite his undeniable talent. In the event of an offer deemed interesting, the Union would obviously not prevent a departure under contract until June (with an additional year as an option). But that said, given Teklab’s injury, Sébastien Pocognoli only has four wingers in his core (Castro-Montes, Khalaili, Niang and Lapoussin), and Lapoussin is clearly not too much.
In terms of arrivals, the Brussels club considers itself ready and does not intend to recruit to strengthen the core for the second half of the season. But transferring this winter to already prepare for 2025-26 remains a way of proceeding that Saint-Gilles likes.
