TRANSFERTS – OPINIONS For those wondering why no reinforcements have been announced yet, know that the transfer market in Belgium only opens tomorrow, January 7. From this date, clubs can therefore attract players or let them leave. The transfer window extends until February 3. Olivier Renard therefore has less than a month to make the necessary transfers to make Anderlecht competitive for the last part of the season. A certain transfer budget would be available for the RSCA sporting director.
In which position can we expect transfers?

Cesar Huerta
First of all, it remains to be seen when the transfer of César Huerta will be finalized. The winger prefers the left flank, but can also play on the right and as a deep striker. Huerta can smoothly integrate into the team and help cushion Edozie’s departure in June. In the meantime, he may also be able to compete on the right flank or assist Dolberg. It is possible that further adjustments will be made to the flanks during the summer, when Edozie is effectively gone. Amuzu and Dreyer may also be leaving. Drawing up a list of additional possibilities for this position is therefore not a luxury.
Defense
Given the injuries, the probable departure of Zanka and the (plausible) last months of Jan Vertonghen as a professional player, reinforcements in central defense must arrive quickly. In all likelihood, the RSCA will be looking for a left-handed, fast and technically competent player who can build from the back. Preferably this will be a player who has already gained experience at other clubs. Indeed, the departure of Zanka and Vertonghen will lead to the disappearance of a large part of the central axis experience. And if Simic wants to evolve quickly, he will need an experienced man at his side. In summary, Olivier Renard has solid requirements.
Goalkeepers
In the event of Mads Kikkenborg’s departure, Olivier Renard will have to deny a replacement for Colin Coosemans.
RSCA Futures
It’s a safe bet that reinforcements will arrive soon so that the Anderlecht U23s can chase away the specter of relegation, especially as Lapage, Engwanda and Degreef are integrating more and more into the A core.
Opportunities
In the event of a good offer – difficult to refuse – it is not impossible to lose a holder during this winter transfer window. It is up to Olivier Renard to find an element who can easily integrate into the core and be immediately available to coach David Hubert.
Several departure rumors have been published on social networks in recent weeks but as with possible incoming transfers, it is necessary to remain critical and express reservations as to the validity of the announcements.
