Everything seems to indicate that Mathias ‘Zanka’ Jorgensen will leave Anderlecht this winter. The central defender has reportedly reached an agreement with the LA Galaxy.
While he had all the good stuff, Zanka did not take long before becoming the Turkish leader of the supporters. Despite the good will of the experienced defender, his recurring mistakes have already taken a toll on his credit with Lotto Park.
The return of Jan Vertonghen seemed to condemn him to slide to the bench. During the last match against Dender, the stadium could not hold back its whistles. Except that in the meantime, Vertonghen was injured again.
Zanka’s departure is getting closer
A setback which poses a problem for Anderlecht. Because the point of no return seems to have been largely exceeded regarding Loopespecially since Sporting confirmed to its player that it would not retain him if there was an opportunity this winter.
According to Sacha Tavolieri, this is about to become a reality. He announces that Zanka has reached a personal agreement with the Los Angeles Galaxy, the team of Joseph Paintsil and Marco Reus.
Anderlecht should therefore not oppose the deal: despite the loss of an additional defender, this will relieve the club of a significant salary and put an end to the ambient unease. The club is therefore already looking for reinforcements for the rearguard.
