Another week, other awards for Montreal Canadian prospect Ivan Demidov.

The 19-year-old forward was voted the KHL’s best forward and rookie of the week after scoring three goals and two assists in just two games.
He notably distinguished himself with a spectacular goal against CSKA Moscow when he completely mocked former CH defender Nikita Nesterov and then thwarted Ivan Prosvetov with a backhand shot into the upper part of the net .

The Habs’ first pick in the 2024 auction is currently going through a six-game streak with at least one goal. He also blackened the score sheet at least twice in the last four meetings of SKA Saint Petersburg.
This happy streak allowed him to rise to first place among scorers under the age of 20 in the KHL with 31 points, including 13 goals, in 40 games and to win the title of best rookie of the month of December.
If everything goes as planned, Demidov should join the Canadian organization at the end of this season. His contract in Russia will end on May 31.
