The year 2025 is off to a very good start for Marc-Édouard Vlasic who will finally have the chance to participate in a first match this season.
The Quebec defenseman has recovered from his upper body injury, which will allow him to be in the San Jose Sharks lineup on Thursday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The 37-year-old veteran had to be patient. His return was expected for December since he accompanied the team on a six-game trip. However, his state of health was not sufficiently convincing for him to take action.
Vlasic’s last match was on April 18. The last few campaigns have been difficult for the Montrealer and the Sharks. In 2023-2024, he was often left aside by his coach, finishing the year with 12 points and a -27 differential in 57 games.
Thursday’s meeting will be the kick-off of its 19e season in the National Hockey League.
