Kasper Schmeichel is now active at Celtic Glasgow. Anderlecht would not have been against re-signing him.
At Lotto Park, almost no one talks about Kasper Schmeichel. It must be said that with his cannonball start to the season, Colin Coosemans (who was already in the shadows long before the Dane’s arrival) quickly reassured everyone.
At the end of last season, however, there were many concerns about the probable departure of Schmeichel, who had only signed for one season. Criticized at the start of the year, he brought his calm and experience to the purple defense.

Management therefore tried to get him back for another season. But the game seemed almost lost in advance, Schmeichel thus joined Celtic as a free player.
However, there were negotiations with Anderlecht. According to Het Nieuwsblad, the former Leicester goalkeeper asked to benefit from a slightly more personalized training regime, in other words a little lighter.
This is an issue that had already come up again during the extension of Jan Vertonghen. But this time, the purple decision-makers did not want to hear about it, which led to an impasse in the negotiation.
