Camille Rast will enter the weekend’s events in Semmering with the red bib as overall leader of the World Cup. The Vétrozienne spoke to RTS last week during training in Vercorin.
“Leaving Killington with the red bib on your shoulders… We want to keep it“, explained Camille Rast who is perfectly aware that nothing will be simple, especially since the schedule is very busy. “This training period is really conducive to doing this. I’m going to try to look for the little details that will allow me to fight to get on the next podium. It’s not easy. There is a big month of January coming up and behind the Worlds. It will therefore take intensity, fatigue, travel.“
The 25-year-old Vétrozienne who won her first podium (3rd in the Gurgl slalom on November 23) and her first victory (1st in the Killington slalom on December 1) in the World Cup this season above all hopes to be able to continue to have fun: “the most important for chaining races“.
