To avoid overloading emergency services and on-call medical practices in the region, the Regional Health Agency (ARS) recommends the right actions to follow to fight against winter viruses.

In case of need for care

▶ As a first step, contact your treating doctor (or his replacement), he is your contact for any health questions.

▶ If it is impossible to consult your GP, walk-in care locations are available. These structures can receive patients during the week, on weekends during the day and in the evening.

▶ Call 15 before going to the emergency room if meeting places are really not an option, and if the doctor is not available. The 15 centers, made up of doctors and regulators, assess the medical situation and direct patients to the most appropriate care: “Emergency services serve everyone, but to remain effective, they must focus on patients in a real state of emergency, who require immediate intervention. » In the event of a life-threatening emergency, calling 15 remains the priority.

Barrier gestures

▶ Wearing a mask is always recommended and necessary in crowded situations, in enclosed and poorly ventilated places. Other reflexes consist of ventilating the rooms, washing your hands, sneezing and coughing into your elbow, using single-use tissues, and avoiding contact with elderly or fragile people.

▶ The ARS still recommends vaccinations against seasonal flu and Covid-19.
