Sent off at the end of the first period on the Espaly field for the 32nd finals of the Coupe de France after a gesture described as “brutality” by the refereeing body in its report, the DFCO midfielder, Hugo-Vargas -Rios, received seven suspension matches, like Rouen’s Mustapha Benzia, who also received a red against Lille.
The DFCO is heading towards an appeal
Although it has not yet officially communicated on this subject, the DFCO is leaning towards appealing this decision and is waiting to consult the commission’s report to do so.

If the sanction were to be confirmed, Hugo Vargas-Rios would miss the matches against Châteauroux, Boulogne, Quevilly/Rouen, Le Mans, Paris 13, Nancy and Aubagne, the return to competition being then planned for March 7 during the reception of ‘Orleans.
As a reminder, Hugo Vargas-Rios was expelled after dealing two shoulder blows to Espaviot Lucas Russo, during a rather banal clash between the two men.
Two more matches for Married
The DFCO will therefore be reduced in midfield in the coming weeks, with Jordan Marié still having to serve two matches of suspension after his red received against Sochaux.
