FC Barcelona has not been able to do so for several weeks in La Liga. Hansi Flick wants to strengthen his squad this winter during the transfer market. He has a name in mind, namely that of N'Golo Kanté.
Barça were very well on their way to winning the La Liga title but Hansi Flick's men have been making multiple missteps in recent weeks. As a result, the Catalans are third in the championship and could be left behind in the standings, knowing that Atlético Madrid and Real Madrid have additional matches to play. Barça's German coach therefore wants reinforcements this winter in order to change the dynamic within his squad. The former Bayern Munich would have liked to be able to bring experience to the midfield. And he loves the profile of N'Golo Kanté, who plays under the colors of Al-Ittihad.
N'Golo Kanté at Barça, it's still a failure
According to information relayed by West France in recent hours, Barça will nevertheless not be able to grant its coach's request. The reason? Finances still in the red. If N'Golo Kanté is only estimated at 7 million euros, his salary in Saudi Arabia is on the other hand XXL, which is 25 million euros per season. Note that in addition to the French world champion, Hansi Flick also wanted Barça to try to afford Leon Goretzka, in difficulty at Bayern Munich. But same problem as for Kanté, the German international is considered much too expensive by the Catalans more than ever worried about financial fair play. As a priority, the Barcelona management has in mind to register its two players Dani Olmo and Pau Victor, who are currently playing on a precautionary basis in La Liga. In these conditions, the second part of the season could be long for the Catalans whose squad seems limited to seek the biggest European titles.
