On the 6th and final day of the Conference League group stage, Chelsea consolidated their first place by crushing Shamrock Rovers (5-1). The Blues, carried by a hat-trick from Marc Guiu (23rd, 34th, 45+3rd) and goals from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (40th) and Marc Cucurella (58th), dominated the match despite the temporary equalizer from Markus Poom ( 26th). Under the leadership of Enzo Maresca, Chelsea controlled the second half to secure the lead of their group.
Behind them, Vitoria Guimaraes conceded a frustrating draw against Fiorentina (1-1). After Gustavo’s opener (33rd), the Portuguese gave in at the end of the match with a goal from Mandragora (87th).
In the other notable matches, Real Betis won against HJK Helsinki (1-0), thanks to a huge error by the opposing goalkeeper, while Panathinaikos outclassed Dinamo Minsk (4-0). Belgian clubs failed to end the European year with a victory.
