Endurance-Info informed you several days ago and the information is now official: Kelvin van der Linde has indeed been recruited by BMW M Motorsport for the 2025 campaign.

The South African will thus reunite with his brother Sheldon, driver of the Bavarian firm since 2019, and will be mainly engaged in a program with the M4 GT3 EVO, which will make its debut in 2025.

“I am very happy to welcome Kelvin van der Linde to the BMW M Motorsport family, admits Andreas Roos, boss of BMW M Motorsport. He has proven for many years that he is one of the best GT drivers in the world and has achieved impressive performances. Kelvin is a great addition to our team of top drivers. With our new BMW M4 GT3 EVO, we intend to continue a strong racing program and fight for victories and titles at the main GT events of the season. Kelvin van der Linde will be a great asset in achieving our goals. »

Kelvin van der Linde is coming off several seasons spent in the Audi fold, including the ADAC GT Masters titles in 2014 and 2019 and two successes at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring (2017 and 2022). The 2024 DTM runner-up has not yet been formally confirmed on a specific program, but we could see him in GT World Challenge Europe in particular.

“I am looking forward to taking on this new challenge at BMW M Motorsport, indicates the eldest of the van der Linde brothers. For me and my family, things have come full circle. My father raced in BMW touring cars, and after my brother Sheldon joined BMW M Motorsport a few years ago, I always dreamed of us racing there together. This dream is coming true. Next season I will have a very full racing schedule, which will allow me to spend a lot of time behind the wheel of the BMW M4 GT3 EVO. This will help me quickly adapt to the new car. »
