Disaster scenario: FC Barcelona takes legal action

FC Barcelona is facing a disaster scenario. The club hopes to get Dani Olmo and Victor eligible for the second part of the season. The Catalan club will go to court on January 23.

FC Barcelona were able to have Olmo and Victor last season because they were registered as replacements for the injured Andreas Christensen, but things are different today. On January 1st, everything will expire. As things stand, both players may not be able to play for FC Barcelona in 2025.

Tips

But FC Barcelona does not intend to give up because it even risks losing Olmo for free if the situation is not clarified. In 2023, he has already resorted to justice in a similar situation.

Gavi’s new contract was then refused, but after a visit to court, the decision was overturned. Barca are once again hoping that the coin will fall in their favor. President Joan Laporta is already looking for creative solutions to register the duo for next year.

They could be registered as replacements for Marc-André ter Stegen, but according to La Liga, that’s what Wojciech Szczęsny was brought in for. So this trick will not work.

Contract with Nike

Barca hope to make use of a rule that allows a club to spend as much as its revenue. Sixty million euros should then be provided, and with the new sponsorship contract concluded with Nike, things already seem positive. Will La Liga put an end to Barça’s plans?
