The New Jersey Devils signed a third consecutive success in the NHL on Tuesday. Nico Hischier and company won 4-1 on the ice of Saint-Louis.
The Valais center player was credited with an assist – his 13th of the season – on the Devils’ second goal, scored by Stefan Noesen in a power play. Timo Meier and Jonas Siegenthaler also skated for almost 20 minutes, without however being decisive against the Blues.
After 34 games in an 82-game regular season, New Jersey leads the Eastern Conference. The Newark-based franchise, however, has played a few more matches than its first pursuers.
Moser injured
Deprived of Roman Josi for the third game in a row, Nashville for its part signed a rare victory by beating the New York Rangers in front of its audience (2-0). Janis Moser, also injured in the lower body, missed Tampa Bay’s success against Columbus (5-3). The Biel Lightning defender was also placed on the injured list.
The Kings of Kevin Fiala, who remained ‘mute’, lost to Pittsburgh (3-2 after), giving in after 1’44 in overtime. Nino Niederreiter did not register his name on the scoreboard either, but Grison did, however, experience victory with Winnipeg in San José (4-3).
Finally, Philipp Kurashev was left in the stands and did not participate in Chicago’s success against Washington (3-2).
