Olympic Biarritz lost two places in the Pro D2 rankings without playing this Monday. The NRL announced a five-point withdrawal for the BO. A decision taken by the French Rugby disciplinary council: “This sanction is the consequence of delays and non-communication to the control commission of the regulatory authority of information and documents requested from the sports company.” Note that Olympic Biarritz also faces a fine of 10,000 euros.
In the second division standings, the Basques are now sixth and have seen Dax and Provence Rugby pass them in front.
The BO appeals
A few minutes after the LNR's announcement, Olympic Biarritz communicated. The Basque club has already announced that it will appeal. “This decision with serious consequences is all the more incomprehensible as the club provided the commission with the numerous required documents, within the allotted time frame.
