Nearly 400 kilometers of traffic jams were recorded this Wednesday, December 18, in Île-de-France, between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., reports Sytadin. The entire region is affected.
Traffic on the ring road is extremely slow. Several incidents have been reported, including vehicles breaking down between Porte de Lilas and Porte de Bagnolet, at Porte de Saint-Mandé and the Porte d’Italie tunnel.
At the height of the evening, more than 450 km of traffic jams were recorded.
Multiple simultaneous accidents
To the south of Paris, accidents are causing more massive traffic jams than usual. On the A6 leaving Paris, one lane is closed due to an incident involving a light vehicle and a motorcycle. A vehicle fire on the A106, an accident between two light vehicles on the A10 towards Villebon-sur-Yvette are reported by Sytadin.
On the national roads N12 and N118N, two accidents involving a light vehicle and a motorcycle were noted, as well as an injury accident on the N186 where one lane and the emergency lane are closed from Thiais towards Rungis.
In the North, near Pontoise, a vehicle broke down on the D14, near Saint-Ouen-Aumone, on the D14, and an accident near Charles-de-Gaulle airport on the N104 towards Louvres , for which two vehicles are involved, are responsible for the slowdowns. On a section linking the A3 to the A1 towards Paris and near Le Bourget, the presence of a pedestrian on the emergency lane also weakens traffic.
