Student Erine Fol-Quiniou, her mother Sandrine and Soizic Henry psychiatric nurses for the Bon Sauveur foundation in Lannion will run the Trek’in Gazelles in Morocco in November 2025. It is a 100% feminine, ecological and supportive orienteering race in the Moroccan desert.
To participate, you must be affiliated to an association. The three women therefore created Roz Breizh’ellesan association which promotes sport among people hospitalized in mental health and will provide funds to be able to participate in the trek. Start of a hunt for sponsors to finance the €10,000 needed for the adventure.
Elancia offers sessions
The three runners are looking for support. The Elancia sports hall, certified sports health, responded by offering 8 people hospitalized in mental health 6 muscle strengthening sessions with a coach.
Uninhibited sport is our motto. We work a lot with hospitals and the Cancer League.
Far from being reserved for fans of performance, this room intends to welcome everyone.
Break the loneliness
Above all, a way to feel less alone while doing yourself some good, as demonstrated by a patient benefiting from the offer:
There are people there and that breaks our solitude, which is catastrophic in our daily lives. Alone, I would never have gone there.
As for Nicole, 90 years old, she wouldn’t miss the room for anything in the world: “She comes from Perros twice a week on purpose. With her, we work on balance,” says Alexia Le Cam.
54 rooms of the same name exist in France. In Lannion, Saint-Marc district, the Elancia room has been open since 2020.
