While Carlos Alcaraz has participated in several exhibitions in recent days, notably on the United States side, Andy Roddick, during the last episode of his podcast, wanted to warn the Spanish player regarding possible complaints against the calendar.
As a reminder, the current 3e world player has already, and on several occasions, pointed out the suffocating pace of the ATP calendar.
“Carlos, let’s tell it like it is. He finished the season on December 6. He spent a week on vacation in the Caribbean with friends before playing these exhibition tournaments. He had already relaxed, done a few rehearsals and obviously got paid a lot of money. At what point could we tell someone not to do their job in exchange for a big salary? We’re adults, it’s a business. What I don’t accept is people saying, ‘Hey, I didn’t have a long enough offseason.’ I don’t want to hear about him in Australia if he’s not feeling very well. That’s all. I don’t want to hear about it. »
