Youssef Lekhdim, better known as “Yusi”, is on Real Madrid’s roster for the Intercontinental Club Cup final, scheduled for December 18 in Qatar.

Youssef Lekhdim was also called up for the La Liga match against Rayo Vallecano, which will be played this Saturday as part of the 17th day of the Spanish championship.

Real Madrid will face the winner of the semi-final between Pachuca (Mexico) and Al Ahly (Egypt) in the final of the Intercontinental Cup, a match scheduled for this Saturday at Stadium 974 in Doha.

At 19 years old, Lekhdim is one of the most promising young talents of Real Madrid Castilla (reserve team), where he has played in every match in the Spanish third division, scoring one goal.

Real Madrid signed him in 2017 from Getafe, where he played that season after spells with San Fernando (2012-2013), Rayo Vallecano (2013-2015) and Moratalaz (2015-2016). Step by step, the left-back progressed through the stages at La Fábrica and last season he already proved to be a key part of Arbeloa’s Juvenil A who won the treble.

With a privileged and combative physique, Yusi has stood out in recent years with a skill that is rare in today’s football: his fantastic ability to cross. Despite his offensive profile, the Madrid player also stands out in defensive tasks. A good pick for the coach of the Atlas Lions who continues to build a young team capable of making a difference.

Furthermore, Walid Regragui had already summoned him for an internship with the Atlas Lions, although he has not yet played an official match. He also participated in five meetings with the Moroccan under-20 team.

Youssef Lekhdim is under contract with Real Madrid until the summer of 2028 and has strong footballing potential.
