RALEIGH, North Carolina — Linus Ullmark made 32 saves for the Ottawa Senators in a 3-0 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes at Lenovo Center on Friday.

Shane Pinto scored twice while Nick Jensen had a goal and an assist for the Senators (14-13-2), who have won their last two games and four of the last five games.

It was Ullmark’s first victory against Carolina, having gone 0-4-1 in seven games against the Hurricanes.

Pyotr Kochetkov made 20 saves for the Hurricanes (18-10-1), who suffered their fifth loss in seven games.

The Senators took a 1-0 lead at 4:04 of the second period. Jensen caused a turnover in offensive territory, then Michael Amadio passed it to Pinto, who beat Kochetkov with a wrist shot from the slot. Pinto had played the previous 15 games without getting a point.

Jensen made it 2-0 at 14:45 of the third. The defender came to the right circle following a pass from Nick Cousins, then he slipped his shot between Kochetkov’s pads.

Pinto secured the victory for his team by scoring into an empty net with 47 seconds left.
