It was during a warm ceremony held at the town hall on Friday morning that Benoît Digeon, mayor of Montargis, presented diplomas and medals to employees.
A diploma was first given to the staff of the community’s living environment and technical services, as well as to partners, in thanks for their daily action to ensure the beautification of the municipality with its four-flower label.
Concerning the tourism medals, three local figures, very involved in developing the visibility of the city, were rewarded.
Bronze but also silver
Christian Caron, president of Souvenir Français of the Montargis-Gâtinais committee, member of the board of directors of the Tourist Office of the Montargis agglomeration and accompanying guide, received the bronze medal.
Hervé Pasquier, director of the Ibis de Montargis hotel, member of the board of directors of the Tourist Office and president of the town’s hotel club, also obtained a bronze medal.
Finally, Claude Labbé, the longest invested in promotional actions, since 1993, received the silver medal. In 2003, he received the bronze medal.
