The Predators are in trouble again. Roman Josi and his teammates suffered their 5th consecutive NHL defeat on Wednesday, losing 3-2 on Toronto ice.

This is the second time this season that the Predators have experienced such a negative series, having started this championship by losing their first 5 matches. The Preds, however, opened the scoring after 5’26 thanks to a goal from Jonathan Marchessault and an assist from Josi (23rd point of the season).

Nashville held on until the end of the 2nd third. But Toronto managed to turn the tide with a double from Auston Matthews. The former Zurich Lions striker scored 1-1 after 31 seconds of play then 2-1 just 118 seconds later. William Nylander’s 3-1 after 45’06 “killed” the match.

Despite this 5th defeat in a row, their 19th in 26 games, the Predators do not have the worst record in the League, or even in the Central Division. With 20 points, they are currently doing better than the Blackhawks (18) of Bernese Philipp Kurashev, who for their part suffered their 4th defeat in a row in Boston (4-2).
