A strategic partnership between Ajax Tangier and the Academy of the Argentine Football Federation has just been signed in the strait capital in the presence of Abdelatif Afia, Moroccan representative, Gustavo Grossi, Argentine representative and international star Javier Saviola ex player of Barcelona FC and Real Madrid.
This football partnership is the first of its kind in Morocco and on the African continent between a football club and the said academy.
On this occasion, a vibrant tribute was paid to the personalities of Buenos Aires with the offer of a souvenir gift and a plaque of honor.
This football ceremony between the two sides aimed to transfer Argentina’s experience in developing and training talents, improving their training performance, training cadres and coaches, creating future stars, and working together in joint projects in the field of training and development with the aim of working together in football management projects in support of Ajax Tangier in the field of development and training.
In this regard, two members of the Academy will soon arrive in Tangier, one of whom will be responsible for supervision.
On training at the Ajax Tangier School, the other will be responsible for the coaches’ training course within the framework of the methodology adopted in Argentina.
Regarding this partnership, the Sports Director of the AFA Academy, Gustavo Grossi, confirmed that the choice of Morocco in general, and Ajax Tangier in particular, as the first destination of the academy project on the African continent, is due to the openness shown by the Tangier club towards our institution, as well as due to the management’s desire to improve, thanks to the training system, the availability of a beautiful sports facility and a promising project aimed at young people.
The sports director of the “AFA” Academy also explained that his academy received great support from the government of his country.
Football in Argentina, including the legend Saviola, who was recognized by the Academy of the Argentine Football Federation for what she presented during her career in Argentine football, is located here in the beautiful city from Tangier.
