Max Verstappen will start from pole position for the Qatar Grand Prix ahead of Russell and Norris

More in difficulty than during the sprint where they achieved the double (Piastri ahead of Norris), the McLarens should occupy the second row with Lando Norris in front (3rd, + 0''252) then Oscar Piastri (4th, + 0''309 ). The double at the Grand Prix, which would guarantee them the manufacturer's title, is therefore far from assured. Once again struggling a little in qualifying, the Ferraris will be separated by Lewis Hamilton on the grid. Charles Leclerc took fifth place (+0”332) and Carlos Sainz seventh (+0”521). After his poor qualification in the sprint, Hamilton is doing a little better (6th) but remains more than four tenths behind his teammate at Mercedes (and 0''491 from pole).
