“I think it’s sometimes easy to press the panic button when the losses pile up. There are so many good people there, among the players, coaches and managers. I have faith that they will be successful at some point. The supporters must believe it. It’s not clicking now, but I believe that one day, it will unlock,” he said on Anthony Martineau’s microphone on Wednesday.
In his segment on the show JiCthe TVA Sports journalist recounted how he found Harris in the Jackets locker room. In addition to being a good hockey player, he is a great person.
“He comes into the locker room and doesn’t nod at me like all hockey players do to hide their emotions, he comes and gives me a hand and a hug. Not only is the guy relevant, he is human and he lets his emotions show, which is far too rare in the National League,” explained Martineau.
“Beyond that, he is a young man who found it difficult to leave Montreal. He was in love with the city, he had integrated very well there,” he continued.
In 11 games in Columbus, Harris has still not obtained a point and has a differential of -3. He was a third-round pick by the Canadiens in the 2018 draft.
