PSG: Xavi Simons has made his choice, agreement with Bayern

Xavi Simons will not play for PSG next season. The Dutch midfielder wants to stay in the Bundesliga, and he knows he has no shortage of suitors.

PSG has had to manage the Xavi Simons case for several weeks. It is now a fact, the Dutch genius does not want to return to Paris next season. The midfielder wants a status and playing time that cannot be granted to him. As a result, the French champions want to find him a new place to stay while avoiding a sale. Indeed, if this were the case, PSG would have to give a large part of the amount to PSV. Paris therefore wants to loan its player, whether it is a dry loan or with an option to buy. Two clubs are very interested in Germany: Leipzig and Bayern Munich.

Xavi Simons, Bayern close to the goal?

Leipzig is more inclined to opt for a dry loan while the Bavarians are ready to promise to buy PSG in the summer of 2025. According to information from Florian Plettenberg, confirmed by Fabrice Hawkins, Xavi Simons has just reached a salary agreement with Bayern Munich. His salary in Bavaria would then be 6 million euros gross, but could go up to 12 million. Bayern Munich and PSG are continuing their negotiations and could reach an agreement soon. It remains to be seen which club, between Leipzig and Bayern, will win the case. If in Leipzig, Xavi Simons will have a place of choice, it is not certain that the Munich team will reserve the same status for him, unless Vincent Kompany has made him a promise that is difficult to refuse. At the end of his contract at PSG in June 2027, Xavi Simons is valued by the French club at nearly 100 million euros. If Paris is ready to part with him, it will probably not revise its wish downwards. Note that the departure of Simons could accelerate the arrival of Désiré Doué at PSG.
