MP Anchya Bamana calls on the Minister of the Interior, Bruno Retailleau, to call the prefect of Mayotte François-Xavier Bieuville to order.
Anchya Bamana finally comes out of her silence. In a letter dated November 22 and addressed to the Minister of the Interior, Bruno Retailleau, she returns to the affair which had made the front page of the local press and some national media.
As a reminder, the MP had asked the prefect of Mayotte, François-Xavier Bieuville, to grant a pass to seven illegal players from the Diables Noirs football team of Combani, so that they could participate in the seventh round of final of the French Cup which was played in France. However, according to the elected official, a journalist from Le Canard chainé contacted her “by reporting information directly from this email”even though she had not yet received the prefectural response.
A “fraternal exchange”
Anchya Bamana loves that “this fraternal exchange” between a prefect and an elected official “did not have to be disclosed by such a process to a satirical newspaper”. And she is convinced that this leak is deliberate.
Still in the same letter addressed to Bruno Retailleau, the deputy of the National Rally, accuses François-Xavier Bieuville of having crossed “the red line of partisan neutrality”. This is why the parliamentarian asks the Minister of the Interior to make a “call to order to all State services, and in particular to the prefect, of the importance of respecting the principles of neutrality, confidentiality and collective collaboration.”
