the essential
During its AGM, the Tarn rugby committee awarded numerous awards. Rugby in the department has performed well this season.

The Tarn clubs recently met in Graulhet for the end-of-season general meeting of the rugby committee. The “light” format of last season was repeated, as the agenda was so packed. Michel Pflieger (staff), stopwatch in hand, Jean-Marc Moreau (rugby school), Michel Giacomini, Pierre Rolland and Bernard Rey (sporting events and awards), Bernard Soulet (social cohesion), and Thierry Ginestet (rugby V), presented the activity report supported by videos by Clémence Aranéga. Sylvain Péguillan commented on the actions carried out in the clubs, with the departmental selections, as well as at school and extracurricular level.

Yves Coulomb, as usual, gave the financial information of a season “loaded with sporting events, therefore with expenses”, while emphasizing the solid support of the departmental council, the FFR (even if some aid has still not been paid), and the League. Without forgetting the contribution of private partners.

The chairman of the committee Alain Rey, who chaired his last general meeting, drew lessons from a successful season in terms of performances and titles won, both in the clubs and at the committee level, and stressed the efforts made by the committee, the volunteers, but also the referees who continue their progression with a particularly praiseworthy record. In conclusion, he mentioned the future elections of the FFR (October 19), the League (November 4) and the committee (December 14).

Finally, an emotional sequence with the announcement of the departure of Valentin Caillau, a particularly appreciated technical manager who is joining the CO to become sports manager of the club’s training center and referent of the women’s pole. A well-conducted AGM which saw all the participants gather for a reception prepared by the volunteers of the Sporting Club Graulhétois.
