The Pittsburgh Penguins and Quebec forward Anthony Beauvillier have agreed to terms on a one-year contract worth $1.25 million annually.

The 27-year-old winger suited up for three teams last season; the Canucks, Blackhawks and Predators. He totaled 17 points in 60 games.

Since the start of his NHL career, he has recorded 246 points in 550 games. He was drafted 28th overall by the New York Islanders in 2015.

In addition, the Penguins offered one-year contracts to Quebec forwards Bokondji Imama and Jimmy Huntington.

They will both receive the minimum salary of $775,000.

Huntington, who hails from Laval, helped the Hershey Bears win a second Calder Cup in the American League. He scored 33 points during the regular season and added 14 points in the playoffs.

Imama played six games with the Ottawa Senators last year. He also recorded three goals and seven assists in 53 games with the Belleville farm club.

Penguins shed Smith

This afternoon, the Pittsburgh Penguins traded veteran Reilly Smith to the New York Rangers for a conditional fifth-round pick in 2025 and a second-round pick in 2027.

Smith will therefore have spent only one season with the Penguins, during which he collected 13 goals and 27 assists for a total of 40 points in 70 games.

Smith, 27, has played 840 NHL games since being drafted by the Dallas Stars in the third round of the 2009 NHL draft.

A 2023 Stanley Cup winner, Smith has 213 goals and 513 points in the Bettman League. He also had stints with the Boston Bruins and Florida Panthers.
